Barrington, IL Maternity Photographer

Ah, Summer. It’s here. A time where this Barrington, IL maternity photographer spends 92% of her day outside. Sweat, mosquitos, and glowy sun. That’s my JAM!

I really love being a photographer, and shooting maternity sessions. It’s very exciting for me when the couple expecting already has a kiddo—I love to talk to the big brother or sister about their soon to be arrival, and I think it’s so awesome to capture a “last” photo session with their parents. That thought kind of makes me sad, as I sit here myself expecting my second child. 
As a Mom myself, I understand that you want images of your bump + current “baby”, you want pics with your partner, and you want pictures of yourself (as long as you look AWESOME!!!). There’s gotta be a variety, and I do my best to get that to you. Many times, parents send me pinterest ideas of what they expect and want–this can be helpful, but please trust in my vision, too. It’s why you hired me, right?

This Barrington, IL maternity session was shot in the Port Barrington area of Northwest Illinois. Only about 45 minutes outside the city, this place is peaceful, has great long grasses, beautiful light, and a few different backdrop options for us to shoot at. It’s always one of my favorites.
