Ah, the pure joy of being a cake smash photographer. How many times have you seen a little kid taste cake for the first time? Probably not as many as me, unless you’re Michelle Duggar. As an experienced photographer specializing in cake smash sessions in Algonquin, IL, each time I watch a cake smash…err…photograph a cake smash….it amazes me at how polar opposite the reactions can and will be, depending on the kiddo.
First – I patiently wait. I think to myself, what will their response be when they lick that first bite of sugary goodness off their little pointer finger? Do they love it? Do they hate it?!?!?! AHHHH. WHO COULD HATE A MARIANOS CAKE?! (Actually, a lot of babies do. It’s too sugary for some…those tiny weirdos!)
She loved it. And I love her for loving the cake. A girl after my own heart. What a sweetheart little Sofia was during our session in my Algonquin area photo studio. She didn’t want to get dirty, but she wanted to eat the cake. Her face almost begged for a fork. Sadly my waistline will tell you– I don’t need any utensils to get aggressive with flour egg and sugar, combined into a masterpiece of pure deliciousness, and as a cake smash photographer in Algonquin, IL — I get to witness these moments.
Such a dainty, perfect little lady. And can you believe the traditional Thai outfit she’s wearing? I’m not going to show you ANY pictures in color, because you’ll be too jealous you don’t have anything nearly as cool to put your little booger in….and I know how jealous y’all can get…ha ha!
