Crystal Lake families — you've got one of the most naturally beautiful areas in the whole northwest suburbs to work with. The actual lake. The forest preserves. The open fields. It's like nature built a photography backdrop and put a suburb inside it. My job is to show up with my camera and do it justice.

Beautiful Crystal Lake Session Spots
Crystal Lake Park itself (right on the lake) is absolutely stunning for portraits, especially in the golden hour light of fall and late spring. Lippold Park and the surrounding trail system offer a woodsy, natural feel. Love vertical pine trees? Then let's shoot for Veteran Acres!
For families with young children, I can also suggest less-traveled spots where little ones have room to roam while we work. And of course, my studio in Barrington is a 15-minute drive and available for sessions that call for an indoor setting.
I take on a limited number of sessions each month — which means when you book with me, you get me. Not an associate. Not an intern. Me, with 12 years of experience, a genuine love for this work, and a whole bag of tricks for getting toddlers and teenagers to both cooperate (simultaneously — yes, this is possible).
Your full gallery arrives within 2-3 weeks and includes 30+ professionally edited digital images delivered via a beautiful online gallery. All retouching included. Mini sessions are offered at $575 for 10 digital images - perfect for milestone moments, holiday cards, or for Dads with short attention spans.
Prints, products, and canvases are available straight from the gallery, if you prefer to touch your photos.
