Family Photo Session in Algonquin IL

I have been staring at these three faces for a few hours now, and I have to say, this family has some good ones.

This is my second time photographing the B Family, and I’m still having a difficult time getting over how big their daughter, Gracie, has gotten. According to her Mama, Gracie’s really into “Frozen”, so I played “Let it Go” for her at the beginning of the session. I sang out loud; she did not.

You haven’t lived until you’ve heard my dynamic vocal stylings. Frequently accompanied by some amazing hand movements and side stepping.

Ok, back to the B Family. Love them. Love this spot. I call it “tunnel of trees”, because it’s got a forest with a “tunnel of trees” (I’m so clever).

We did NOT go in to said tunnel, as it was SO HUMID AND HOT AND STICKY AND GROSS AND DISGUSTINGLY BUGGY I didn’t want to drag these kind people in to a wooded area…you almost couldn’t move it was so gross out. No exaggeration. I think I took a 92 minute shower when I got home….seriously. What is WITH the bugs this year? Is it just me?!?!?!?!!  I digress.

I sprayed myself with bug spray before and after my “performance”, grabbed my bubbles, giant camera, and we were off to the races. Gracie was feeling a little shy at first, until I started making weird farting/monster noises, all while yelling at the top of my lungs. She thought it was funny…phewww, because my normal tricks (bubbles) wouldn’t work for her–she was waaaay too smart. No problem, yelling and growling at children is my favorite.

Check out a few sneaks from her session, but I’m not going to lie…I wanted to post all 20+ because they are all super DUPER cute. EEEEK!
